We're finally here

After travelling for over 25 hours, we have finally reached our destination. We are living in a "garden" style hotel. Basically...we have nothing. We are living on top of a mountain...there is nothing around us but trees, darkness, and pandas. Our room is pretty horrible. The toilet = our shower, our shower = our toilet. In addition, our room is not heated so we are sleeping with five layers on. It is about 20 degrees F where we are living. For some reason it feels warmer outside our room than it does inside...

Having been spoiled by city life, Lawrence and I feel like we have been stripped of our bare neccessities to survival. No internet, no phone, no lights. I don't know how long it will be before I sit in front of a computer again. I am in a PC room in the city right now. The city is about a 40 minute drive from where we live.

On the bright side...we begin volunteering tomorrow. Not sure how that will be. I will post pictures when I can.
